1.Optimize the Prefetcher and Superfetch Value

i) Type “Run” in the windows search to open the command prompt.

ii)From the command prompt Type “Regedit” and hit enter.

iii) To Navigate through the Registry windows follow the below step.

Double-click on the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >SYSTEM >CurrentControlSet > Control >Session Manager > Memory Management\PrefetchParameters.

iv) Double Click on the “EnableSuperfetch” and “EnablePrefetcher” and set both the Value Data to zero and then click the “OK” button.By setting the value to zero it won’t use much memory on your system and will make your windows 7 run faster.

2.Delete Temporary Files

i) In the windows search type “%temp%” and hit enter.

ii) Delete all the temporary unused files to free some disk space on your computer.

 

3.Delete Prefetch Files

i) Type “Run” in the windows search to open the command prompt.

ii) Type “prefetch” in the command prompt and hit enter.

iii) Press CTRL + A and delete all the Prefetch files to free some disk space on your computer.

 

4.Disable Window Search Indexing

i) Type “Run” in the windows search to open the command prompt.

ii) Type “services.msc”  in the command prompt and hit enter.

iii)Once the services windows open, scroll down and select the Windows Search.

5.Modify the Power Options

i) In the windows search type “power options” and hit enter.

6.Increase the no of Processors to Maximum

i) In the windows search type “msconfig” and hit enter.

ii) Once the system configuration window opens select the “Boot” tab.

iii)Select the advanced options.

8. Customize Paging File Size

i)In the windows search type  “Adjust performance” and hit enter.

ii)The performance options windows open.Select the Advanced tab and click on the Change button.

iii)On the Virtual Memory window that opens uncheck the automatically manage paging files.

iv)Select the radio button “Custom size” and enter the initial size and maximum size to the size that is recommended at the bottom of the window.Click on the Set and then OK.Once it is done it will ask you to restart your computer.

9.Disable Unwanted Startup Programs

i) In the windows search type “msconfig” and hit enter.

ii) Once the system configuration window opens select the “Startup” tab.

iii)Uncheck those processes that you don’t want to show at Startup.Then click the Apply and OK button.

 

10.Turn Off Windows System Sound

i)In the windows search type “mmsys.cpl” and hit enter.

ii)It will open the System sound window.Go to the tab “Sound” and uncheck the box for the Play Windows Start up sounds.Click Apply and OK button.
